Carla is a Certified Specialist of Wine with the Society of Wine Educators and received Advance Certification with merit from Wine & Spirit Education Trust where she is currently enrolled in the diploma program to become a Master of Wine. She has taken the Bordeaux Educators Certification and continues to be an involved member in the Society of Wine Educators as New Hampshire's first female Certified Specialist of Wine. Carla also studied at Le Cordon Bleu in Australia where she earned both culinary and Sommeliers Certifications. She then traveled to Bordeaux and then the Rhone to apprentice with the world's best wine makers before returning home to New Hampshire.


Carla is the Author of Wine & Dine with New Hampshire, bringing you a closer look to New Hampshire’s award-winning wines, ciders, and meads and the pioneer companies who create them: Candia Vineyards, Farnum Hill Ciders, Flag Hill Winery and Distillery, Jewell Towne Vineyards, LaBelle Winery, Piscassic Pond Winery, and Zorvino Vineyards.


Her experience in the wine industry also includes twenty years of restaurant experience across the United States at establishments such as the Pebble Beach Resort, Monterey Hilton and W Hotel in San Francisco. In her home state, Carla worked with a local wine importer and distributor.


Invigorated by her deep passion for food and wine, Carla helps businesses and individuals plan perfect wine tasting extravaganzas, focusing on the fine art of selecting the appropriate bottles of wine to serve with their menus.


You can also find her teaching wine classes at Southern New Hampshire University, or consulting for restaurants throughout the Seacoast and New England and shops such as The Durham Marketplace in Durham, New Hampshire where she keeps a wine selection of over 700 wines rotating with interesting and delicious wines.
